Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore. ~ Andre Gide

I enjoy the ocean, actually any large body of water... actually I even like small puddles and creeks. Shark Week on Discovery is like some sort of red carpet event to me. The Ocean is inspirational, fascinating, dangerous, and awe inspiring. There are countless stories, legends, and poems about it. It is the last great frontier, with the most unexplored area on Earth.
My resolution this year is to bring a little beach into my life, since I can't bring my life to the beach.

Here are a few things that reminded me of what I love about the Ocean and find sensational and inspirational.
I love the whole clean bright, east coast feel of this room. The rug? Magnifique! I love stripes
I think I am going to go out and buy some paint for my dresser, this is brilliant.
I really like art and jellyfish. A combination of the two is even better.
Being a jewelry maker myself, I feel the need to point out that this piece is flippin awesome.
Besides the too matchy-matchy glasses (don't get me started on fashion...just. Don't.) I heart the minty color.

I have no idea what this is but I like it.

Ok, I really really really love stripes. It's like Retro and Nautical had an amazing classy love child.

Wear something stripey today.
